17 acts of kindness that will make someone happy today

Making people around you happy could be the shortest way to your own happiness! Here are some good reasons why:
-What goes around comes around. This might not be the driving force behind your acts of kindness, but contributing for someone else’s happiness can reflect back at you, too.
-You won’t regret it. Do you remember a time when you’ve felt sorry that you’ve done a good deed? Me neither.
-You’ll feel happier as someone’s face flows with happiness!

So how do we do that? How can we easily brighten someone’s day?
Here are 17 quick and inexpensive solutions for this:

1. Encourage. Sometimes it’s hard to stay positive when you’re going through tough times. When someone is feeling down, you could always give them a ray of  your own sunshine and remind them of the positive sides of their problem. This will certainly help your friend see the light at the end of the tunnel!
2. Hug. In the right situation it could change someone’s day! Hugging reduces stress and it can brighten your thoughts and mood in a second. Pretty cool for something so simple.
3. Give away a piece of your talent. A good drawing or maybe a necklace or bracelet? A present with a touch of individuality won’t go unappreciated for sure.
4. Hold the door open for someone. Donate a few seconds of your time for a wide smile on someone’s face- now that’s a deal!
5. Bring a cup of tea/coffee. Next  time you go for a cup of coffee, buy one more for someone from your office/class. It’s an easy way to show that you care.
6. Bring positive energy into the conversation. Positive energy is contagious! Throw in something a positive thought during lunch for example and soon most of your lunch mates will do the same. Brighten up the atmosphere!
7. Smile. Even if it’s to a stranger on the street- it will either make them smile back or they’ll just feel awkward. At least it’s worth trying if it’s going to brighten up someone’s day.
8. Just listen. People feel appreciated when they are listened to and not rudely interrupted.
9. While driving, let someone into your lane. This could be someone’s moment of relief during a stressful day.
10. An honest compliment. It works best if it’s for something that is close to the other person’s heart. You wouls feel better if someone acknowledges the effort you have made on something, wouldn’t you?
11. Share some of your homemade sweets. Who doesn’t like cookies? Or ice cream or jerky?
12. Share something you found on the internet. It could be your favorite funny video or something intriguing and helpful.
13. Bring your friends’ favorite takeout food. Another version of the tea/coffee favor is buying your mate’s favorite food- chocolate, sandwich, pizza, etc. If you’re a good cook, why not prepare a favorite meal?
14. Pick some flowers for your buddy. That’s a pretty easy and joyful way to put a smile on someone’s face.
15. Do a chore or run an errand for someone. If you’re having a day off, why not help someone with something small? It’s a good sacrifice and a positive outcome is sure to follow.
16. Tell a joke or a funny story. You can turn your mischiefs into a funny story that can make someone laugh.
17. Share a good advice with your mate. When there’s a problem you can easily participate in the solution by offering a helpful advice or your own point of view. You can consult with friends that have been in a similar situation. This could really mean a lot for the friend you’re trying to help! Show them that they’re not alone in this.

15 Reasons You Need To Drink Lemon Water

If you’re tired of drinking plain old water and want to take your physical, mental, and spiritual health up to the next level, here are 15 reasons why you should be drinking lemon water every day:

1) Clears Skin

One of the more convincing reasons to drink lemon water for most of us is that it can help keep our skin clear. Water on its own can help flush out toxins to keep skin clear, but the added vitamin C in lemons helps purge toxins from our blood to keep skin clear of blemishes and decrease fine lines and wrinkles!

2) Balances Your PH

There’s a lot of talk about balancing the pH in your body and lemon water does just that! Lemons taste and appear to be very acidic, but they actually have a very alkalizing effect on our bodies. Keeping your body in an alkaline state also prevents diseases and pathogens from surviving, so it’s a pretty important to drink!

3) Boosts Immune System

Another fab benefit of drinking lemon water is that helps boost our immune system. Who has time to get sick these days, right? The potassium in lemon juice helps control blood pressure, stimulate brain and nerve function and vitamin C helps fight colds. If you’re already sick, try sipping hot water with the juice of one lemon and some honey.

4) Weight Loss

Aside from helping our skin stay clear, balancing and boosting our health, lemon water also aids in weight loss! That’s right, drinking lemon water helps boost your metabolism, fight cravings, flush out water weight and curb hunger. Those are some powerful benefits from such a simple drink that we can have anytime!

5) Help a Hangover

What’s your go-to drink when you’re nursing a hangover? Save yourself a trip to the store and make yourself a mug of warm lemon water instead. Yet another benefit of drinking lemon water is that it can help soothe your stomach, which can be somewhat irritated or sensitive after a night of drinking. Drinking hot water with lemon can act as an antiseptic and help detox your system from all that booze!

6) Freshens Breath

We now know that lemon water has an abundance of benefits, and another one of my favorites is that helps freshen your breath! This is really effective for those times you want to freshen your breath after having some drinks, a spicy meal or if you smoke. All these things can dry out your mouth, which can lead to sour breath, so wet your whistle with some lemon water!

7) Boost the Brain and Nervous System

Another one of the impressive effects of drinking lemon water is that it contains lots of potassium. Low levels of potassium have been linked to depression, anxiety, forgetfulness and brain fog. As mentioned previously, lemons are also chock full of vitamin C, which gets depleted when you’re under a lot of stress.

8) Helps Respiratory Problems

If you experience respiratory problems like asthma or infections, lemon water is the ideal drink for you! Lemon water has antibacterial properties and helps get rid of infections of the chest and relieves coughs. Lemon water is also said to be a helpful natural remedy for allergies as it helps keep the body alkaline and more balanced.

9) Helps Digestion Problems

There are tons of different powers that lemon water has. Did you know that it can actually assist you with any digestion problems that you are having? Trust me on this one, if you are having a lot of stomach aches, start drinking lemon water and you’ll see a huge difference in how your stomach feels!

10) Powerful Cleansing Powers

While we might clean our skin and we might actually keep our faces and hair clean, did you know that we also need to keep our organs and our insides clean? That’s exactly what drinking lemon water can do! It’s a natural cleansing agent that will help keep you extremely healthy.

11) Less Mucus

If you are a dairy eater, especially drinking milk, you probably notice that you have a ton of mucus in the morning. Don’t worry, once your start to drink lemon water, you’ll notice that it cuts through the mucus and will leave your throat uncoated and unirritated!

12) Reduces Inflammation

Inflammation can actually really hurt, especially if you are noticing it all around your body. Well, one of the biggest benefits of drinking lemon water is that it helps reduce inflammation and it calms down any irritation completely!

13) Energy Boost

Do you need that cup of coffee in the morning and then around 2:30pm, you are crashing and burning with being tired? Well, if you happen to drink hot water with lemon in it instead of coffee, not only will you cut your caffeine, but you’ll notice there is absolutely no more crash!

14) Helps You to Stay Healthier

Overall, lemon water is a good way to keep hydrated and improve your health in all areas.  It’s not a taboo form of alternative treatment.  It’s a great way to up your health game on all ends of the spectrum.

15) Great Source of Potassium

Finally, the last benefit if drinking lemon water is all about that potassium I mentioned earlier! If you aren’t a huge fan of bananas, but are still missing those potassium levels, why not indulge in a few glasses of lemon water a day?
There you have it, ladies and gents, if those fifteen reasons don’t convince you to have some lemon water, I don’t know what will! Seriously though, lemon water has some fantastic benefits. It’s easy to make, it’s inexpensive and tastes great.
Note*: If you’re concerned about the effect of the lemon juice on your teeth, try drinking it through a straw.

Miraculous Effect: 10 000 Times Stronger Than Chemotherapy!

The lemon has a magical power to fight against the cancer cells, but the public is not informed about that. The reason why this is kept in secret is that the gigantic manufacturers of the chemotherapy and other “cures” for cancer will lose huge profits.

So please share this article and inform other people about the power of this fruit.
The irony is that million people die of this disease only for the sake of money.

Besides the anti-carcinogenic it also contains many other useful properties. It has strong effect on cysts and tumors. The researchers tested the lemon on almost all types of cancer, and it was proven effective for the most of them. The combination with lemon and baking soda was proven to have even better effect because it can normalize the pH of the body.
One more benefit of this fruit is that it can be used against bacterial and fungal infections because it has anti-microbial effect. Some other conditions for which it can be used are: regulation of high blood pressure, reduction stress and in fight against depression.
This information was revealed by one of the largest manufacturers of drugs. Since 1970 they were researching the effects of lemon and for the sake of this they made 20 laboratory tests. All of them proved that lemon can destroy cancer cells of 12 types of cancer. What is more they compared its effects with the effects of Adriamycin and some other drugs and concluded that the lemon has even 10 000 times stronger effects.
The most positive thing is that unlike the chemotherapy that can destroy the healthy cells and cause many side effects that can be unbearable, the lemon affects and destroys only the “bad” cells while leaves the “good” unaffected, and has no side effects.
The patient should drink lemon juice with baking soda. It is recommended the lemon to be organic one, because it will achieve the best effects (100 times more efficient than the lemon contaminated with chemicals). In order to be 100 % sure that you are consuming organic lemons you can pot one.

10 Easy Ways to Recognize Liars

People lie all the time, but depending on how skilled they are, it can be difficult to determine when someone is lying to you.
Do you know how to recognize the signs that someone is lying to you? Some of the signs are obvious while others are more subliminal, but there are ways to catch someone in a lie, you just need to know what they are.

Here are some easy ways to recognize liars and catch lies:

1. A person who is lying to you won’t make eye contact with you or they make too much eye contact. If a person is lying they may feel you are scrutinizing them and they will look down at the floor or away from your eyes. Some people try to stare you in the face in a deliberate way because they feel like making eye contact will make what they are saying more believable.
2. Liars avoid using contractions…. “I did NOT have sexual intercourse with at woman”. This is an attempt by the liar to be absolutely clear what they mean but it ends up making the story a lot less believable. Stalling tactics are also common. The liar may ask you a question like “where did you get that information?” while they try to back peddle and come up with an explanation for your question.
3. Weird Body Language. Liars often fidget, turn away from the person to whom they are speaking, blink rapidly, smile less and have pitch changes in their tone of voice. They may cross their arms which is a sign of being “closed” or trying not to reveal too much information. Sometimes people fidget excessively when they are lying. They could fidget with a part of their body or touch parts of their face, an ear or a nose or play with keys or another item that they have in their hand.
4. Liars provide additional information without being asked for it. They seem to think that by embellishing their story you will find it more believable. What happens is they tend to make the story more complicated and less believable. The more elaborate the story, the more likely that it is a fabrication and nothing near the truth.
5. A person who is telling a lie will get defensive. They will do everything in their power to deflect your attention away from themselves and will get angry that you are questioning their innocence. People who are telling the truth tend to go the opposite way and go on the offense. This will become obvious to you when you are trying to have a conversation with a person and they try to change the subject or move the conversation in a different direction.
6. If a person is lying they tend to over-embellish insignificant details while avoiding important ones. Exaggerated details make the liar feel better, but the person who is hearing the lie will start to get the feeling that something is definitely amiss. This can make it easier to catch a person in a lie because you can jot down details of the story that you are being told and then ask questions about those details later to see if they are still the same.

7. Watch the eye movements of the person. If a person is remembering something they tend to move their eyes up and in a left direction if they are right handed. If they are making something up, their eyes wil move up and to the right. Left handed people do similar movements but in the opposite direction. People blink rapidly (“eye flutter”) when they lie or they may rub their eyes. Eyelids also tend to close a little bit longer than a normal blink if a person hears something or sees something they they do ont like. Hand movements towards the eyes can be a further indication of “blocking out” the truth.
8. Some people sweat more when they are telling a lie. Measuring perspiration is one of the markers of a polygraph test but is not an indication on its own of a person telling a lie. Some people sweat more when they are nervous or if they are shy. Sweating together with blushing, trembling and difficulty swallowing can be a clear better indication that someone that is lying to you.
9. Watch for micro expressions. The true measure of a person’s emotions will quickly flash across their face at the beginning of a conversation. It could be a half smile that lasts for five seconds or a worried look that lasts the same amount of time. These micro expressions are sometimes noticed by people subconsciously and they tend to know right away that a person is lying, although they do not know how they know this. A lot of people tend to feel a “gut instinct” about something such as a person who is lying, and this is usually as a result of seeing a micro-expression during a conversation. The micro expression is quick but if you watch for it you can see it.
10. Ask the liar to repeat their story again. If the story is fabricated it can be very difficult to remember all of the details that they gave to you the first time around. You may notice that the person looks very uncomfortable and worried about what they are going to say to you when you ask them to repeat details that they clearly made up the first time around.
Most of the time it is easy to tell when someone is lying to you because you feel it and you know that the person is not being one hundred per cent truthful. If you start to look more closely at the person’s behavior and movements, you will start to notice a lot more things more easily. At first you may have chalked these things up to a gut feeling, but soon you will see that you are more observant than you had originally thought. Liars are easy to spot when you follow some main guidelines and start to be more observant of the person that you are talking to.

Case of Virginal Conception Baffles Doctors and Scientists, Some say it answers infant Jesus birth.

Jerusalem | The pregancy of 17-year old Batya Abuhatzeira, has attracted a lot of attention and interest over the last weeks, as a growing number of scientists and doctors have proved unable to find an explanation to her astounding case.

The jewish teenager found herself pregnant while on solitary confinement, during a three week activity of communion and prayer with her school, and is still clinically a virgin.

This case’s mystery begins with the circumstances of the “conception”, which presumably took place in a monastery near Beit Shemesh, which she was visiting with her religious private school. Miss Abuhatzeira was participating in a three week activity of prayer and monastic silence with 22 other girls from her class, in a religious institution forbidden to males. The young girl claims she had some mysterious dreams, ressembling a vision, in which a angel-like figure told her she would have a child.

The doctor who initially followed the progression of the girl’s pregnancy, demanded help from specialists after he noticed the girl was still a virgin, and that something about her kid seemed to disturb the ultrasound equipment and rendered clear imaging impossible. More than a dozen experts and specialists have tried to address the problem and find a solution, but it seems a mysterious energy field somehow blocks the scan.

The increased attention on Batya’s case has brought a lot of speculation from the media and the public, bringing forward dozens of wild and eccentric theories. Many religious organizations, including the Roman Catholic Church, have manifested their interest towards her child, due to the many similarities between this story and that of the Christ. Various alternative media have on the other hand, elaborated many wacky theories, going from a secret military genetic experiment directed by the Israeli Army, to an alien artificial insemination project.

Parthenogenesis in humans may seem far-fetched, but 50 years ago no-one  suspected that parthenogenesis could occur in any vertebrate: now all-female species have been documented in fish, amphibians, reptiles and birds (all major orders of  vertebrates except mammals). Parthenogenetic reproduction (reproduction without males) could occur among human females yet remain unnoticed.  Indeed, such a woman could have a husband and be totally unaware of her own condition.

A major study was conducted on the topic by Balfour-Lynn in 1956, which studied eight alleged cases, out of which in only one case, “Mrs. Alpha and  daughter,” did the subjects show apparent genetic identity in blood groups and several other genetically  determined traits including electrophoretic analysis of serum. The probability of such a close  match between a mother and daughter produced by heterosexual reproduction is less than one  chance in a bill

15 Health Tricks To Teach Your Body

Being in control of your body can be a great thing. Imagine overcoming physical pain. Or being able to slow down your heart at will.

There are so many body functions and reactions that we don’t understand and feel powerless about. But, with a little bit of practice, there are things you can gain control over and teach your body a few health tricks.

1. Relieve headaches and migraine quickly

Instead of using pain killers, why not trying an acupressure point next time you experience the excruciating pain? The following shiatsu point works for most frontal headaches and migraines and eases the physical discomfort in less than 5 minutes.
The point is located in the webbing between the thumb and index finger, at the highest spot of the muscle that protrudes when the thumb and index finger are brought close together. Use your thumb and index finger to press on the muscle from both sides: thumb is positioned on the back of your hand, and forefinger underneath. The stimulation of this point also helps with toothaches, shoulder pain and labor pain. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), pressing on certain points, releases the blocked Qi or body energy. You also use the tips in this post to relieve your headache naturally.

2. Encode long-term memory

If you want to remember something for good, work on it just before going to sleep. Memory consolidation, that moves information from short-term to long-term memory, happens mostly while you sleep. If you have an important exam or presentation the following day, review it just before bed time.
You can also increase your memory by 75% if you sniff a specific herb but don’t just stop there! Eating these specific foods will improve your memory as well.

3. Slow down your heart rate

Sometimes, when you are anxious, you can feel your heart pounding. To get your heart rate back to normal, you need to influence the vagus nerve, which governs heart rate. This nerve can be controlled through breathing.
One way to stimulate it and release anxiety is to exhale against a closed airway. You can do this by pinching your nose and trying to breathe out while keeping the mouth closed. The pressure in the chest cavity will increase, and the vagus nerve will be stimulated. Another way to slow down your heart rate is to do this type of exercises.

4. Stop a nose bleed

This technique might be new to some of us. It is based on the fact that most nose bleeds originate from the front of the septum, which is the cartilage wall that divides the nose. To stop the bleeding, you need to press hard against your upper gums, on the spot just behind a tiny dent below your nose. You can use some cotton or gauze to do this.

5. Control alcohol induced dizziness

I’m not telling you this to encourage drinking, but sometimes it can be useful to know how to walk straight when your body has been affected by alcohol.
The organ for balance lies in the inner ear and floats in a fluid that is the same density as blood. Alcohol dilutes your blood, including the blood in your inner ear, and makes the organ for balance float higher. This confuses the brain, so you need to provide it with a different stimulus that will improve its perception of the world around you. The best way to do this is by putting your hand on something stable. The sensitive nerves in the hand give the brain a tactile input that will make them re-assess the situation and provide you with a clearer picture of the world.

6. Cure your toothache-related pain

The same acupressure point that was introduced under point 1 (‘Relieve headaches and migraine quickly’), can be used for toothaches. A Canadian study also showed that the technique is more successful if you use ice. Rub ice on the V-shaped webbed area between your thumb and index finger. This will block the pain signals from hands and face. You can also use one of these 22 natural painkillers or you can heal your cavities and tooth decay naturally.

7. Fight acid reflux by sleeping position

Studies have shown that it is less likely to suffer from acid reflux if you sleep on your left side. This has to do with the position of your internal organs. Your esophagus and stomach connect at an angle, and your sleeping position determines which one is higher.
When you sleep on your right side, your stomach is higher, which can make the stomach acid enter the esophagus easier. But, when you sleep on your left, the position is reversed. The stomach lies lower, so the acid would need to travel against gravity to reach the upper parts of your digestive system, which is of course a lot harder to do. You can also use these natural treatments as well.

8. Clear your stuffed nose instantly

This is an osteopathic trick, as explained by Lisa DeStefano, an assistant professor at the Michigan State University College of osteopathic medicine. You need to perform two movements which will cause the vomer bone (one of the facial bones) to rock back and forth and will loosen the congestion. First, thrust your tongue against the roof of the mouth. Then, press with one finger between your eyebrows. Alternate between the two movements. You should feel some relief already after 20 seconds.
You can find another technique in my post on how to clear a stuffy or runny nose in 1 minute.

9. Feel no pain while giving blood

If you are afraid of the needle prick, you can try the following: cough. Coughing makes the pain diminish. The maneuver increases the pressure in the chest and spinal canal, and inhibits the transmission of pain signals up the spinal cord. You might want to inform the person taking the blood about this technique though, so you don’t disturb their procedure too much.

10. Cure a tickling throat

Tickly throat can be particularly annoying as you can’t reach inside and give it a proper scratch. But, there is a trick to do it indirectly. Simply, scratch your ear instead. Scott Schaffer, M.D., president of an ear, nose, and throat specialty center in Gibbsboro, New Jersey, explains that by stimulating the nerves in the ear, you cause a reflex in the throat that can make your muscles spasm. The muscle contraction helps with the itch and calms down the throat.
There are other natural ways to relieve sore throat: you can prepare this easy syrup, or drink this specific tea or you can use these oils.

11. Use cold water to cool your nerves

Splashing your face with cold water – make it as cold as possible – is a good way to calm yourself down. It’s even better if you simultaneously hold your breath. This tricks your body into believing you’re diving into cold water and triggers an old mammalian reflex. Your body wants to economize with oxygen when it feels there will be a shortage, so the oxygen use becomes better. You are prompted to take deeper breaths and this relaxes the nervous system. You can also considertaking this specific type of bath.

12. Delay your most primal urge to pee

This suggestion is particularly useful when you feel a sudden need to urinate, yet you are miles away from the nearest bathroom. Instead of thinking about peeing, you should re-direct your thoughts and occupy your brain with something else. Larry Lipshultz, M.D., chief of male reproductive medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine, suggests thinking about something that turns you on. If you start fantasizing about sex and sexual fantasies, this will preoccupy your brain and make it easier for you to reach the nearest toilet without any embarrassments.

13. Unstitch your side when you run

Many people experience a burning pain on the right side of their tummy when they run or exert themselves. The uncomfortable feeling comes from the area of your liver, which is located on the ride side, below the ribcage. When they run, most people follow a certain movement pattern– they exhale when their right foot hits the ground. This puts downward pressure on the liver and creates a side stitch when it jerks the diaphragm – the biggest breathing muscle. All you need to do is become aware of your movements and step forward with your left foot as you breathe out.

14. Swallow you tablets painlessly

A lot of people struggle swallowing their pills. It doesn’t help that some medications and supplements come in huge sizes. When you have to get a few of them down, this can result in gagging and discomfort. Most people are used to putting their heads back as they swallow. But, you should really do the opposite. When you try to swallow your next horse-sized supplement, tilt your neck forward instead of backward. Take a sip of water, bring your head forward, and then swallow the tablet. It should be easier now that the pill is floating in your mouth.

15. Extend your time underwater

To do this trick it might be useful to understand how the body works. The urge to breathe doesn’t come from the lack of oxygen. It comes from the buildup of carbon dioxide in the blood. When your body becomes more acidic, the brain is aware that there is a problem. You can delay this reaction if you hyperventilate just before making the dive. This lowers the blood’s acidity and can make you stay underwater for up to 10 seconds longer. Before your plunge, take a few short, quick breaths and then dive in. Hyperventilating will trick your brain into believing it has more oxygen than it really does, and let you enjoy the underworld for slightly longer.
